clipped from www.vindy.com Vindy.com Newswatch Presentation on daffodils planned CORTLAND — “How to Grow, Identify and Show Your Daffodils” will be presented April 16 by Barb Enoch, a member of the American Daffodil Society. The two-hour program will be at the Ohio State University Agricultural Complex, 520 W. Main St. Sign-in begins at 9:30 a.m.; the program will run from 10 a.m. to noon. Register by calling (330) 638-6783. Cost is $15. The presenter is a lifelong resident of Trumbull County and teaches psychology in Lordstown schools. She is an avid gardener and has been showing her daffodils in national competition for more than four years. In 2006, she won a blue ribbon in the historical division of the ADS competition. She currently has nearly 50 cultivars in her home landscape.

Thousands of volunteers across Canada head out every April in a national door-to-door campaign to raise money for cancer research. Volunteers also work to raise awareness about cancer during the campaign.
